Following the Prime Minister’s instructions to minimise all non essential travel and contact, we have put the following measures in place. These measures will be reviewed on 13th April. We are amending our procedures to ensure we continue to fulfill our ethical obligation to our patients and their owners while complying with the government’s instructions.
You can view this measures in full on the website home page www.castle-vets.co.uk/ or on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/CastleVets
Castle Vets will remain open but, as you would expect, we are putting in place a number of steps to ensure that we reduce the risk of virus transmission. The health and wellbeing of our patients, staff and the wider community is paramount.
We are currently offering alternative consultations by telephone. Please contact our reception team to discuss appointment slots and payment options, if you would like to book.
We assure you that the care of your pet is our priority, so we will accept your pet for a physical appointment if necessary. However, if you are experiencing symptoms or are in self-isolation and your pet needs treatment at the practice, you will need to arrange for someone outside your household to bring your pet in.
We request that only one symptom-free owner accompanies your pet(s) to our practice and that you do not arrive more than a few minutes early for your appointment to help us maintain social distancing within the practice.
To ensure the safety of our staff, if your pet needs to be examined/treated we will take him or her off you in the carpark and bring them into the practice, while you wait outside.
We will be minimising our staff numbers within the building and providing an emergency only service. We are still here to help so if you need any advice please phone us as usual on 01189 574488
We thank all our clients for their cooperation an understanding in these very unusual circumstances.
Please telephone us for any pet care advice that you need.
Please stay safe.
